The benefit of using MateTel is that you can clearly see for yourself when ovulation occurs.
As experienced breeders we all know that not all bitches follow the general pattern and ovulate at 11-14 days. We have had bitches that ovulate at 7 days and also as late as 21 days. In our experience there is no set pattern with a bitch either, she can change from one season to the next.
The other factor is that many bitches will be fully receptive to a stud dog when they are not actually ovulating, obviously when this happens there are no resultant puppies, how many times have you had a successful mating with a good tie but still no puppies?
Also if like us you have had bitches missing, there is always a possibility that she is having silent seasons, again MateTel can answer this question for you.
MateTel can save you an unnecessary journey to a stud dog, we have travelled the length and breadth of the Country to use a stud dog, if you know exactly which day she is ovulating you can plan ahead and avoid a wasted journey.
MateTel can also be beneficial when you do not wish to have your bitch mated. If you know which day she ovulates you can act accordingly.
Many an experienced breeder has had an accidental mating. One of our older stud dogs has become much more experienced with age, he knows exactly which day his bitches are ready but he has also learnt to be very quiet with our bitches at home and behaves very uninterested in them, unless we take our eyes off of him but with MateTel we are one step ahead of him !
